Who We Are
This is not simply another youth program.
Someone Like Me Leadership Academy serves teenagers in South Dallas through a one-year leadership experience focused on spiritual growth, personal development, and practical preparation for adulthood.
We believe every teenager possesses incredible God-given potential. Sometimes all they need is someone who believes in them, invests in them, challenges them, and walks beside them.
That is exactly who we strive to be.

Today's teenagers face challenges that extend far beyond academics. Many lack consistent mentors, practical life guidance, leadership opportunities, positive influences, and biblical discipleship. Someone Like Me Leadership Academy intentionally bridges those gaps by combining all of these areas into one transformational leadership experience.
Our goal isn't simply to help students become successful. Our goal is to help them become the men and women God created them to be.

Hand-selected Academy of 15
Every student is selected through an application and interview process, because transformation happens through intentional relationships.
One mentor for every two students
Trained, background-checked mentors are intentionally matched with students for individualized encouragement and accountability.
Christ-centered discipleship
Students grow in a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ while discovering their identity, purpose, and calling.
Practical life preparation
Financial literacy, entrepreneurship, college and career readiness, communication, and more, taught month after month.
